CCCHS MECHATRONICS
Preparing students for careers to technically support manufacturing environments with electrical skills, mechanical skills, pneumatics, control logic, and robotics.
OUR PROGRAM OF STUDY
MECHATRONICS
Mechatronics is offered as a block class at CCCHS. This means that students are in this class for two consecutive class periods. This class is heavy in hands-on application of the material related to the standards. Strengths in mathematics and science are helpful.
Our class is offered as a dual-enrollment course with TCAT-Dickson for Juniors or Seniors with no additional work or exams. Mechatronics is great for those seeking to enter trade school or study engineering.
Prerequisites: Principles of Manufacturing

Strengths in Math and Science are advantageous.
PRINCIPLES OF MANUFACTURING
This class is the entry level class for the Mechatronics Program of Study. In Principles of Manufacturing (PM) we explore all facets of manufacturing:
-
Processes for manufacturing (mfg) many products,
-
Equipment used in manufacturing
-
Reading blueprints
-
Analyzing Processes
-
Using tools
-
Writing instructions
